The Little Keeper of the Greenhouse

Morning light pours through the glass of an old greenhouse, warming the brick floor and the clay pots lined up along the bench. A grey rabbit sits beside a wooden tray of new seedlings, barely more than a few green leaves pushing up from the soil. Nothing here is finished. Everything is just beginning, and the little keeper seems content to watch it grow.

Among the seedlings, a little bunny offers a morning prayer for patience and small beginnings. 🐰🌱🙏 #churchbunnies #bunnylove #rabbitsoftiktok #bunniesoftiktok #cutebunnies

“For who hath despised the day of small things?”
Zechariah 4:10 (KJV)

Zechariah spoke to people rebuilding the temple after exile. The new foundation looked small next to the glory of the old one, and some who remembered the first temple wept. God’s word through the prophet was a challenge: who has the right to look down on a day of small things? What God begins in modest form He is able to complete.

Seedlings ask for patience. You water them, give them light, and wait through days when nothing seems to change. Faith, kindness, a new habit, or a mended friendship often start the same way, so small they are easy to dismiss. This quiet scene is a reminder to tend what is small without despising it, and to trust the growth we cannot yet see.
