“Be strong and of a good courage; be not afraid, neither be thou dismayed:”
Joshua 1:9 (KJV)
Joshua stood on the edge of something enormous. Moses was gone, the land ahead was unknown, and the responsibility was his. God’s word to him was simple: be strong and courageous, do not be afraid or dismayed. The reason followed in the same breath: the LORD your God is with you wherever you go. Courage is not the absence of fear. It is moving forward because you are not alone. If you are facing something new or daunting, this promise travels with you. The meadow is wide, and the road is uncertain, but His presence goes with you.
