“And in the morning, rising up a great while before day, he went out, and departed into a solitary place, and there prayed.”
Mark 1:35 (KJV)
Before the crowds and the questions, Jesus went out in the dark to a quiet place to pray. If the Son of God needed that time, it says something about what we need too. Morning prayer does not have to be long or elaborate. It can be a few honest minutes on the back steps before the house wakes, offering the day back to God before it starts asking things of us. These stone steps leading upward feel like that kind of invitation: a small climb, a solitary place, and the quiet assurance that the Father is already there, waiting to listen.
