“Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above,”
James 1:17 (KJV)
Every good gift and every perfect gift is from above. James reminds us where all good things come from. Not from luck, not from our own efforts alone, but from a Father of lights who does not change. It is easy to take good things for granted. An orchard full of apples is the result of seasons of sun and rain, none of which we control. Gratitude begins when we trace good gifts back to their source. Look around today at what you have been given. Each good thing is a gift from above.
