“The LORD recompense thy work, and a full reward be given thee of the LORD God of Israel, under whose wings thou art come to trust.”
Ruth 2:12 (KJV)
Boaz spoke these words to Ruth, a foreigner who had left everything to care for her mother-in-law. He blessed her for seeking refuge under the wings of the LORD God of Israel. Ruth’s story is one of loyalty, kindness, and God’s quiet provision. She came to Bethlehem with nothing and found a home. A quiet bench beneath a sheltering tree is a fitting image for that refuge. If you have stepped out in faith and wonder whether anyone notices, God does. He rewards those who trust Him.
