Cause me to hear Thy lovingkindness in the morning. David begins his day by asking to hear of God’s love. It is a beautiful way to start: before the noise of the day, tune your heart to His kindness. The prayer continues with a request for guidance: cause me to know the way wherein I should walk. Trust and direction go together. A river waking at sunrise reflects the first light of day. Let your morning begin with God’s lovingkindness, and ask Him to show you the way.
