“Seek the LORD and his strength, seek his face continually.”
1 Chronicles 16:11 (KJV)
Seek the LORD and His strength; seek His face continually. This line comes from a song David wrote when the ark was brought into Jerusalem, a moment of great celebration. Yet the instruction is not to seek God once, in a burst of excitement, but continually. Seeking is a lifelong posture. It means coming back to Him in ordinary days, not just extraordinary ones. A fountain keeps flowing, keeps refreshing, keeps returning water to the basin. Return to Him like that today. His face is not hidden from those who keep looking.
