“God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.”
Psalm 46:1 (KJV)
God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. Psalm 46 was written for times when the world feels like it is falling apart. Mountains shake, waters roar, nations rage. Yet God is a refuge, strong and present. A very present help, the psalm says, not distant or delayed. The view from a burrow during a storm captures that sense of safety while chaos swirls outside. When storms come, run to God. He is your shelter, and He is near.
