“And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily, as to the Lord, and not unto men;”
Colossians 3:23 (KJV)
Much of our work goes unseen: the report no one reads closely, the dishes washed again, the careful repair that only matters if it holds. Paul gives that work a new audience. Do it heartily, as to the Lord. That shift changes everything about how ordinary tasks feel. A woodworker’s bench, scattered with shavings, shows hours of patient effort that will disappear into a finished piece. Nobody admires the shavings. But they are where the care happened. Whatever you put your hands to today, it can be an offering. The Lord notices honest work done with a willing heart.
