Polish
A tiny, bright-eyed rabbit with short ears held close together, and probably British, not Polish.

Origin
The Polish rabbit’s origins are uncertain. It was mentioned in English literature in 1860 and probably came from Britain, not Poland.
Typical Adult Size
Small, with an ARBA maximum of 3½ pounds (about 1.6 kg). Despite its size, it is not classed as a dwarf breed.
Coat Type
Short, fine, glossy fur.
Colors
ARBA recognizes Black, Blue, Broken, Chocolate, Lilac, Blue-Eyed White and Ruby-Eyed White.
Temperament
Usually friendly and alert. Because it is small and delicate, it should be handled gently.
Grooming and Care
A weekly brush, more during molts. Small breeds still need daily exercise and space to explore.
Distinctive Features
A short, compact body, a rounded head, bold eyes and short ears held close together.
What Makes It Notable
Breed names don’t always match across the Atlantic. The breed called Polish in the US is a different rabbit from the British Polish.
