White of Bouscat
A big, pure white French breed with ruby eyes, bred near Bordeaux.

Origin
The White of Bouscat (Géant Blanc du Bouscat) was created in 1906 by Mr. and Mrs. Dulon at Le Bouscat, near Bordeaux, France, from Champagne d’Argent, French Angora and Flemish Giant rabbits.
Typical Adult Size
A large rabbit. The French standard sets a minimum of 5 kg for bucks and 5.5 kg for does, with an ideal of about 6 to 6.5 kg (13 to 14 pounds).
Coat Type
Dense, soft, glossy fur.
Colors
Pure white, with ruby (red) eyes.
Temperament
Usually calm and docile, a gentle giant.
Grooming and Care
As a large breed, it needs a roomy enclosure, daily exercise and cushioned resting areas. Its white coat stays bright with clean, dry bedding.

What Makes It Notable
