“When thou liest down, thou shalt not be afraid: yea, thou shalt lie down, and thy sleep shall be sweet.”
Proverbs 3:24 (KJV)
Nighttime has a way of magnifying worries. Problems that felt manageable at noon seem enormous at midnight. Proverbs offers a different picture: lying down unafraid and finding sleep sweet. This is the rest of someone who has walked with wisdom and placed their trust in God. It does not mean every question is answered before bed. It means the questions can be set down. As the stars begin to take over the evening sky, it is a good time to hand back the day, with its unfinished business, to the One who never sleeps. Sweet sleep is His gift to give.
