“Truly the light is sweet, and a pleasant thing it is for the eyes to behold the sun:”
Ecclesiastes 11:7 (KJV)
Ecclesiastes can be a sober book, yet here it pauses to say something lovely: light is sweet, and it is a pleasant thing to see the sun. Enjoyment of simple beauty is not a distraction from serious faith. It is part of it. The colors on this card are what happens when ordinary sunlight meets the right window, and suddenly a plain floor becomes a canvas. Today will likely hold moments like that, small and easy to overlook. A beam through the kitchen window. Warmth on your face. Notice them. The Teacher would say that noticing is a kind of wisdom.
