Stillness Has Teeth

A view from beneath a wooden deck out to a sunlit green lawn and garden.

“Thou art my hiding place; thou shalt preserve me from trouble;”

Psalm 32:7 (KJV)

Thou art my hiding place. There are days when the world feels too loud and too sharp, and we simply need somewhere to go. David found that place in God. Not a place of escape from reality, but of protection within it. A shaded spot beneath the deck, looking out at a bright yard, is a gentle picture of that shelter. You can see the world from there, but you are covered. When trouble comes close, God does not merely watch. He preserves. Run to Him today. He is a hiding place that does not give way.
