“Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path.”
Psalm 119:105 (KJV)
Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path. A lamp in ancient times did not light up the whole road. It lit just enough for the next few steps. God’s word often works that way. It does not always reveal the entire journey, but it shows us how to take the next faithful step. On a dark, rain-slicked street, a single lamp makes all the difference. Open the Scriptures today, even for a few verses. Let them light your path for the next stretch of the road.
