“LORD, thou hast heard the desire of the humble: thou wilt prepare their heart, thou wilt cause thine ear to hear:”
Psalm 10:17 (KJV)
A single red bird in the grass is easy to miss if you are walking quickly. This verse is about a God who does not miss the quiet ones. The humble are not the loudest voices in the room, and their desires are often whispered rather than announced. Yet the psalmist says the LORD has heard them, prepares their hearts, and bends His ear to listen. That is a tender kind of attention. If your prayers have been small and hesitant lately, they have not been lost in the noise. They have been heard by Someone who notices a flash of red in a wide green field.
