“For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind.”
2 Timothy 1:7 (KJV)
Fear is persuasive. It tells us it is only being realistic, only protecting us. Paul writes to a young Timothy and reminds him that fear is not what God gave him. Instead he received power, love, and a sound mind, a calm and steady way of thinking that does not panic at every shadow. That does not mean anxious feelings vanish. It means they do not get the final word. The open terrace on this card, with its wide view and gentle light, is a fitting picture of the mind God offers: room to breathe, a clear horizon, and beauty growing close by.
