“I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.”

I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me. This verse is often quoted on game days and graduation cards, but Paul wrote it about contentment. He had learned to be content with much or little, in comfort or hardship. The strength he describes is not for achieving anything we want, but for enduring anything God allows. That is a deeper kind of power. A sturdy tree draws strength from roots no one sees. Christ strengthens us the same way, quietly and from within, so that we can stand in any season.
