“Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life: and I will dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.”
Psalm 23:6 (KJV)
Psalm 23 ends with confidence: surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life, and I will dwell in the house of the LORD forever. Goodness and mercy are not merely around us; they follow us, pursue us. Even when we wander, they keep coming. And the destination is home, in the house of the LORD. A church at sunset, warm and glowing, feels like the end of a long journey. Whatever road you have traveled, His goodness has been following. You are on your way home.
