“He shall cover thee with his feathers, and under his wings shalt thou trust.”
Psalm 91:4 (KJV)
He shall cover thee with His feathers, and under His wings shalt thou trust. Psalm 91 uses the image of a mother bird sheltering her young. It is tender, protective, and close. God’s care is not distant or cold. He gathers us near and covers us. A warm barn loft full of soft straw feels like a nest, a place of comfort and safety. When fear rises, this verse invites us to come close and take shelter under His wings. His faithfulness is our shield.
