“And let the peace of God rule in your hearts, to the which also ye are called in one body; and be ye thankful.”
Colossians 3:15 (KJV)
Let the peace of God rule in your hearts. Paul uses a word that means to umpire or decide. Peace is meant to be the referee of our hearts, settling disputes and calling the shots. When anxiety or anger tries to take over, peace can make the final call. And Paul adds a simple instruction: be thankful. Gratitude and peace grow together. A field of clover in the sunshine is a quiet picture of contentment. Let His peace rule today, and look for something to be thankful for.
