Sunbeams slant through tall trees onto a quiet forest floor, where a white rabbit sits on a mossy log among ferns and tiny white flowers. The light feels like a fresh start. The morning reading here is only five words long, but it sums up the heart of the whole Bible, and it comes from a very unlikely place.
Start the day remembering where salvation comes from. 🐰☀️🙏 “Salvation is of the LORD.” — Jonah 2:9 #churchbunnies #MorningScripture #BibleVerse #DailyDevotional #ChristianEncouragement
Jonah prayed these words from inside the great fish, after running from God and being thrown into the sea. He had nothing to offer, no plan, and no way out. His prayer ends not with a request but a confession: rescue belongs to the Lord. Right after he says it, the fish delivers him onto dry land.
It is easy to think of salvation as something we earn by getting our act together. Jonah’s story says otherwise. God rescued a reluctant prophet from the deepest place he could have fallen. Starting the morning with that truth takes the pressure off. We do not have to save ourselves today. We can rest in the One who already has.
